Who doesn’t like James McAvoy? The Scottish actor has worked hard in many films and TV shows since starting his career in 1995. However, he became well-known in the early 2000s as he broke into the mainstream. To celebrate the release of Speak No Evil this month, we will review our favorite James McAvoy films and look at his best outfits in these movies.
Nicholas Garrigan - The Last King of Scotland

Many fans believe James McAvoy's role in The Last King of Scotland (2006) is one of his best, showcasing his strong passion for acting. The fictional role of Nicholas Garrigan observes the dictatorship of Idi Amin in Uganda and the latter’s expulsion from the country.
Forest Whittaker starred with McAvoy in this motion picture. The duo worked incredibly well together to depict the power struggle that the Ugandan government had at the time. As a pairing in this movie, they were nominated for many awards.
How about the hair styling of actor James McAvoy in this movie? Garrigan's hair is shoulder length, which offers some versatility in his style. If your hair is a similar length, you can use our Bull Blaster Sea Salt Spray. It will help your hair look full, like McAvoy's in this film.
Robbie Turner - Atonement

James McAvoy movies don’t get much more moving than Atonement (2007). He starred alongside Keira Knightley, as the pairing led the film to seven Golden Globe nominations and 14 from the BAFTAs. James McAvoy stars as Robbie Turner in this war-themed romance, adapted from Ian McEwan's novel of the same name.
Since the Atonement movie takes place during World War II, you can expect many slicked-back looks. If you wish to replicate those classic maritime styles, it's a good thing you can buy Bull Blaster Pomade from us.
Charles Xavier - The X-Men Series

Sharing a role with Patrick Stewart takes work and dedication. However, James McAvoy took on the challenge. In the X-Men movies, he played Charles Xavier, also known as Professor X. These include Days of Future Past (2014) and Dark Phoenix (2019).
Of course, this character is bald for most of his airtime. Still, there are moments when he depicts a younger incarnation when he is seen with relatively fashionable hair for a scientific government advisor. He’s got a sophisticated side slick style, which you can quickly achieve with one of our styling pastes. If you have challenging presentations to deliver and long hours in the lab, like Xavier, the Play Hard product will keep your hair in place all day, even if you land yourself in warm water, as Professor X does.
Paddy - Speak No Evil

The red carpet will roll out soon as McAvoy stars in Speak No Evil (2024). Make sure to distinguish this from the See No Evil movie that features Kane as Jacob Goodnight, as they aren't related at all!. The film is an English-language adaptation of the Danish movie of the same name.
In this psychological thriller, he plays an American father, Paddy, in which a summer family's dream holiday in the British countryside turns into a nightmare. That’s all we know, as the film isn’t out yet!
From the promotional media, we can see how James McAvoy looks in this film. He has a much shorter crop than he had in his earlier films. He doesn’t have much hair, but you can see this character using Space Dust hair powder. It helps keep his hair in place.
Steve McBride - Shameless

TV shows with James McAvoy? James McAvoy Shameless? Yep! Before he was a star of the silver screen, McAvoy plied his trade on television series like The Bill and Foyle’s War, and arguably, he got one of his most significant breaks on Shameless. James McAvoy split from the show after the second series, however.
While working on Shameless, McAvoy met Anne Marie Duff (who was also acting on the TV show), with whom he would later marry and have a son.
Since McBride has trouble with the authorities and rival criminals, he has little time for hair styling. This leads to a simple look. Seasalt spray for hair will be enough to replicate this simplistic aesthetic McAvoy sports here.
Carl Colt - Wimbledon

In the 2000s, it seemed as if no subject matter was deemed untouchable to be used as the narrative of a rom-com. Tennis was no exception; however, at this early point of McAvoy’s acting career, McAvoy was not cast as the number one world player, nor in the film's leading role. Instead, he plays the role of Carl Colt, younger brother to Peter Colt (the main character), who is reviving his career at Wimbledon. Carl supports his brother throughout the film but does place a sports bet against him at one point!
Colt wears a cycling cap in the movie, however, he lets his hair down, especially when he sits courtside at the All England Club, where he watches his brother play in the tournament. He has longer hair, which you can replicate using hair powder like Space Dust.
Mr Tumnus - The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe

This one is a bit of fun. We don’t expect too many of you to want actually to look like Mr Tumnus out of choice. However, with Halloween right around the corner, you might fancy portraying this scruffy faun creature, played by James McAvoy.
To achieve this look, use Funky Head curling cream for a messy style. If your hair is thinner, apply sea salt from the spray bottle to your scalp for added volume, creating the full, textured appearance of this character.
